CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical peels use a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Various chemical formulas are used based on each individual’s specific requirements. Two popular and effective chemical peels include:
Refinity™: a 70% glycolic peel that includes medical strength alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) without the skin irritation commonly associated with this type of product. Used together, the Refinity™ in-office treatment and home-use products create visible improvement in skin pigmentation, tone, and texture, as well as a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Salicylic Acid Peel: A salicylic acid peel is stronger than a glycolic chemical peel and can dramatically improve the look of fine lines, pigmentation, and skin texture. Scars will also become less noticeable.
